Thus，the new Australian government has placed the relations with Northeast Asia on the top of its foreign policy agenda. The recent visit to China，Japan and South Korea by Prime Minister Tony Abbott has indicated Australia’s willingness and capacity to play a balancing role in the region with political pragmatism.
