In 2017，the PICs maintained stability politically and economically.General elections in 4 island countries runs fairly smoothly.The economy growth of PICs is weak，and growth differentiates obviously between countries.There are problems on poverty，health and domestic violence on social issues.The PICs launch a series of climate diplomacy which elevates the status of PICs on the global political stage.The PICs advance the development of Pacific integration.The major countries battle it out in south pacific，and relations between PICs and China develops smoothly.
