Since the establishment of the Mechanism of Deputy Premier Minister-level People-to-people Exchange between China and Indonesia in 2015，the mechanism has played an active role in implementing the consensus of the heads of the two states，and promoting the construction of the “Belt and Road”. Nowadays，it has become an important pillar to promote bilateral relations along with political security dialogue and high-level economic dialogue. The mechanism promotes China-Indonesia people-to-people exchanges to a new level through the “top-level design” way，and focuses on a number of themes in relation to the development of bilateral people-to-people exchanges each year，which has effectively promoted bilateral people-to-people exchanges. Through the analysis of the current situation of exchanges and cooperation between China and Indonesia in the fields of education，science and technology，culture，health，media，sports，youth，tourism，etc.，this paper finds some problems in the people-to-people exchange between China and Indonesia，and puts forward some suggestions.
