Caribbean region as a whole has achieved sound development in 2018. In terms of political situation，the situations in most countries were basically stable. On the aspect of economy，Caribbean region witnessed accelerated economic revival，the inflation rate was stable，the fiscal surplus gradually expanded，international trade value increased. However，there are still a series of problems，such as heavy government debt burden，unbalanced trade structure，underdeveloped logistic services，and slow recovery of tourism. In social respect，multiple challenges coexist in the public security，employment quality and gambling websites issues. In terms of international relations，the Caribbean countries actively made efforts in promoting regional integration. However，due to the limited progress of multilateral cooperation，bilateral collaborations were favored by more countries. Additionally，certain conflicts exist between some Caribbean countries and other Latin America nations.
