委内瑞拉是中国在拉美地区的全面战略伙伴关系国之一。自中委于1974年建交以来，双边关系的发展进程可以分为3个阶段。1974～2000年以建立政治互信为主线，拓展交流与合作领域；2001～2013年深化政治互信，推进共同发展的战略伙伴关系；2014年以来，继续推进双边全面合作，加强和深化全面战略伙伴关系。对于近年来委内瑞拉遇到的困难，中方坚持正确义利观，平稳推进两国各领域合作，坚决反对对委采取干涉、孤立、威胁、制裁等错误做法，相信委内瑞拉有能力解决国内困难和问题。
Venezuela is one of China’s comprehensive strategic partnership countries in Latin America. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between these two countries in 1974，the development process of their bilateral relations can be divided into three phases. In 1974-2000，by establishing the mutual political trusts as the main line，the two countries expanded the areas of exchanges and cooperation. In 2001-2013，by deepening the mutual political trusts，the two countries promoted the strategic partnership for common development. Since 2014，the two countries have been continuing to promote bilateral comprehensive cooperation，and to strengthen and deepen comprehensive strategic partnership. Regarding the difficulties encountered by Venezuela in recent years，adhering to the correct view of justice and interests，China has been steadily promoting cooperation in various fields between the two countries，and resolutely opposing the wrong practices of intervention，isolation，threats，sanctions，etc.，and believing that Venezuela has the ability to solve the domestic difficulties and problems.
