This paper will focus on the Chongqing Connectivity Initiative-Southern Transport Corridor by highlighting the objective and key aspects of this initiative. It will also dwell on the significance and challenges faced in promoting this initiative. Before turning to the Chongqing Connectivity Initiative-Southern Transport Corridor，it would be worthwhile to have a brief overview of the two earlier G-to-G projects，namely the Suzhou Industrial Park and the Tianjin Eco-city，in order to better understand how the Chongqing Connectivity Initiative differs from these two earlier projects although they are all related to building connectivity between Singapore and China as well as China and the rest of the world.
