2017年世界经济呈现继续复苏态势，东北亚区域合作也呈现规模不断扩大，机遇增多，活力增强，潜力凸显，前景广阔的良性发展态势。与此同时，受复杂的地缘国际局势及地缘风险影响，东北亚地区面临政治、外交与安全等风险的冲击，一些不确定因素制约区域合作未来发展。2018年，在世界贸易和投资持续复苏，全球经济持续向好的推动下，一方面东北亚区域合作进程有望取得突破，另一方面也需要防范贸易保护主义肆虐带来的负面冲击。
In 2017，the world economy continued to recover. Northeast Asia regional cooperation has witnessed continuous scale expansion，increased opportunities，enhanced vitality，great potential，and promising prospects of healthy development. At the same time，due to complex international geo-political situation and risk，Northeast Asia is also facing impacts of geo-political，diplomatic and security risks. Some uncertain factors have restricted the future development of regional cooperation. In 2018，as the world trade and investment continuing to recover，and global economy picking up，Northeast Asian regional cooperation process is expected to break through；but it is also necessary to be precautious of the negative impacts of trade protectionism.
