埃及穆兄会于1945年在约旦哈希姆王国建立了其支部——约旦穆兄会，约旦穆兄会自成立很长一段时间以来一直作为“忠诚的反对派”、合法参与约旦公共政治生活的伊斯兰政党代表，在约旦众多反对党派中占据主导地位。约旦穆兄会一直与约旦政权保持着较为良好的竞争—合作—共生关系，其与约旦政权之间的关系经历了数个不同阶段，大体可划分为联盟与扶持、共生与遏制、对抗与压制三个时期。随着地区局势的变幻与穆兄会自身实力的削弱，加之穆兄会政治角色由“忠诚的反对派”到“强硬的反对派”的转换，双方之间的裂痕不断加深，逐渐由共生合作走向对抗。
The Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt established its branch, the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood, in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in 1945, and the Jordanian Brotherhood has dominated the many opposition factions in Jordan since its inception as a “loyal opposition party” and a representative of the Islamic political parties legally involved in public political life in Jordan.The Jordanian Brotherhood has also maintained a better competitive-cooperative-symbiotic relationship with the Jordanian regime for a long time, and its relationship with the Jordanian regime has gone through several different stages, which can generally be divided into three periods: Alliance and support, symbiosis and containment, confrontation and repression.With the change of the regional situation and the weakening of the Brotherhood’s own strength, coupled with the transformation of the political role of the Brotherhood from “loyal opposition” to “hard opposition”, the rift between the two sides is deepening, and the relationship between them has moved from symbiotic cooperation to confrontation.
