Most ASEAN countries are marine countries with a long coastline，vast maritime territories and rich marine resources. In recent years，the marine economy of ASEAN countries has developed rapidly，and the marine industry has become an important part in their national economy. By linking up the research fields of marine economy with its development process as a main thread，this paper expounds major ASEAN countries’ current situation and characteristics of the development，explores the contribution of major marine industries to the national economy，and therefore puts forward some feasiblecountermeasures for promoting China-ASEAN’s further cooperation in marine industries
