While Israel’s technological prowess in countless industries continues to attract attention from Chinese and many other global investors，other sectors of its economy should further define the long-term economic and political relationship between the countries. Massive development of energy resources，infrastructure，logistics and trade capabilities，along with regional geopolitical shifts and financial accessibility，are all slated to become as important for China’s regional initiatives as is technology. It is just as critical for Israel to listen，understand，and calibrate its own economic narrative as it relates to China’s goals. Israel could help to set the stage for a relationship much more reciprocal and mutually beneficial，allowing for the development of a clear Israeli policy on multiple fronts vis a vis China. This article explores Israel’s potential economic drivers in the coming years and how the country could better leverage the changes in its own economy to better define its relationship as a strategic partner to China’s own interests. It will also explore how these shifts are helping to redefine relations to the rapprochement between Israel and its Arab neighbors and the strengthening alliance with Greece and Cyprus which combined should be understood as a regional geo-economics game changer.
