冷战后，加拿大国内一些熟谙亚太和中国事务的专家积极活跃在加拿大政府、智库、大学以及部分国/私有企业机构。虽然这些专家在很大程度上难以用“中国通”来冠之，但他们在中加关系的各个阶段和各个领域都发挥了不可或缺的作用，值得中国学界关注。本文采用“调研、访谈”等方式，在一手资料的基础上，梳理这些专家的学术脉络并考释他们在中加关系建构过程中的专业知识和创新性观念的输出路径。
After the Cold War，experts in Chinese and Asia-Pacific affairs has been playing an active role in the Canadian government，think tanks，universities，as well as some state-owned and private organizations. Though not all of these experts are well-versed in Chinese affairs，their extensive influence on China-Canada relationship is worth researching. This research is based on surveys，interviews and other first-hand materials which serve to demonstrate the academic origins of Canadian experts on China，and examine their ways of exporting professional knowledge and innovative ideas on building China-Canada relationship.
