经过历史上四次较大的移民输入浪潮，法国从一个单一的民族国家演变为现代移民国家。为了对移民输入进行合理的管控，法国自20世纪中期开始颁布相应的移民政策，主要包括两个方面：入境和入籍方面的移民控制政策，移民社会融入政策。自20世纪70年代开始，受经济危机的影响，法国移民政策开始收紧，而移民法国的华人也在不同时期呈现出不同的特点。近年来受到叙利亚内战等事件的影响，进入法国的移民和难民剧增，由此引发了各种社会冲突与矛盾，甚至恐怖事件。法国政府在着力改善移民、难民接待能力的同时，开始收紧难民政策，加强边境控制，希望通过经济、外交手段稳定区域形式，与欧盟协作，从源头解决难民危机。
After four waves of immigration in the past，France has evolved from a single nation state to a modern immigrant country. In order to properly control immigration inflows，France has promulgated corresponding immigration policies since the middle of the twentieth century，which mainly fall into two categories：immigration control policies on entry and naturalization；and the integration of immigration policies. Since the 1970s，influenced by the economic crisis，the immigration policy of France has been tightened；and the Chinese immigrants in France have also shown different characteristics at different times. In recent years，influenced by events such as the civil war in Syria，immigration and refugees in France have increased dramatically，which has led to various social conflicts and even terrorist attacks. While the French government is trying to improve the reception capacity of refugees，it has begun to further tighten refugee policies and strengthen border control. It hopes to stabilize the regional situation by economic and diplomatic means and cooperate with the European Union to solve the refugee crisis from the source.
