2017年新加坡文化在继承其历史传统基础上保持平稳发展。当前，新加坡文化、社区及青年部的工作重点是激发新加坡精神，增强居民对新加坡身份的认同感，试图通过各种形式提升社区凝聚力，促进各族文化和谐发展，助力新加坡国家文化的成型。在“一带一路”倡议背景下，中新文化交流正迎来新的历史契机，中国文化主管部门应在巩固现有成果、充分了解新方国情和当前政策重点的前提下，为双方教育界及文化界增加交往等创造有利条件，为将中新两国文化交流推向更高层次而努力。
In the year of 2017，Singapore has enjoyed a steady progress in the field of culture development. The Ministry of Culture，Community and Youth of Singapore are currently targeting at “building social capital；inspiring the Singapore spirit，and together making Singapore home”. By enhancing the integration of various communities and multi-ethnical cultures，a national culture of Singapore is in the cradle of booming. With “Belt and Road Initiative” as the new backdrop，the cultural exchange between China and Singapore is given a historical opportunity. Ministries of both sides are expected to make enough efforts so as to bring the existing achievements to the next level by creating positive conditions for further exchanges in the fields of education and culture，with sufficient understanding the current situation and policy aims of each other.
