The development and utilization of nuclear energy has brought new impetus to human development. At the same time，the development of nuclear energy is accompanied by nuclear safety risks and challenges. Maintaining nuclear safety is closely related to homeland security，people’s health，ecological environment，social stability，and economic development. The Chinese government has always put nuclear safety on top of the development of nuclear energy. In the course of the development of the nuclear industry，we must adhere to national conditions，learn from international good practices，and strictly manage nuclear facilities，nuclear materials and radioactive waste according to the strictest standards. China has maintained a good nuclear safety record in the development of nuclear energy for more than 60 years.
