In 2016， the monitoring results of educational modernization level showed that in 15 sub-provincial cities， the overall level of educational modernization in Guangzhou was in the upper middle and upper level. In terms of educational development and quality， educational fairness， and educational conditions， the overall level of education modernization in Guangzhou is in the upper and upper level. Among them， the modernization level of educational governance is in the forefront of the whole country， while the level of educational development and quality and the level of educational conditions guarantee are in the middle or upper middle level. However， the level of promoting education equity is relatively poor. It is suggested that we should make up the shortcomings and weaknesses affecting the quality of education， especially the shortage of teachers， improve the quality of education in an all-round way. It is also suggested to increase the financial investment in education， to improve the standard of education expenditure for students， to raise the level of education security， to speed up the inter-school balance in the city， to solve the problem of joining public schools with immigrants' children， to improve the level of education fairness in an all-round way， and to improve the construction of the public education supervision system， so as to raise the level of modernization of education and governance.
