教育在经济与社会的数字化进程中起着重要作用，但德国教育的数字化进程至今仍不尽如人意。德国政府充分意识到这一点，推出了“数字化教育攻势”战略。该战略把育人视为数字化进程的关键因素，对数字能力的认识既包括技术层面，也深入社会层面。其措施和目标涵盖了从普通教育、职业教育到终身教育的所有方面。但该战略因德国联邦制的制约等因素，行为体分散，体系不完整，不确定性高。2018年3月，德国新政府组阁成功，《联合执政协议》体现了德国新政府推动数字教育发展的决心。如果新政府能解决现有问题，改善外部条件，则德国教育数字化当有长足发展。
Education plays an important role in the digitization of the economy and society at large. But the role of digitization in education in Germany is still not satisfactory.The German government is fully aware of this and therefore launched an “Educational Initiative for the Digital Knowledge Society”.This strategy regards educating people as a key factor in the process of digitization，and its understanding of digital ability includes both the technical and the social field.Its measures and objectives cover all aspects of general education，vocational education and lifelong learning. But due to the constraints of federalism and other factors，this strategy faces a number of problems such as a multitude of actors，an incomplete system and a high degree of uncertainty. In March 2018 the new government was established. The Coalition Agreement embodies the new government's determination to promote digital education.If it is able to solve existing problems and improve the general conditions，the digitization of education in Germany can be greatly developed.
