In order to promote Macau as a world-class tourism destination with a rich leisure experience，the Macau SAR Government is committed to continuously improving the quality and tourism experience in order to promote the sustainable development of the tourism industry. On this basis，vigorously developing non-gaming elements can reduce the problems and risks that are highly dependent on the gaming industry，and at the same time promote the transformation of the gaming industry and the moderate and diversified economic development. To this end，this article explores the status quo，benefits，and trends of non-gaming elements in Macau’s gaming operators，and proposes several suggestions on the future direction of Macau：to strengthen communication among gaming operators；to understand each other’s advantages；and to coordinate the development of different kinds of non-gaming elements. Rich entertainment facilities and leisure activities can improve the quality of tourism services，promote the development of multi-day tourism destinations，and enhance the travel experience of travellers. Due to the limited land resources in Macau，it is expected that through the cooperation with the Greater Bay Area in China，the synergy effect of the use of land and tourism resources can be established. At the same time，transportation facilitates will also be very important. All these are needed in order to build Macau into a truly “World Centre of Tourism and Leisure” and to diligently implement the long-term planning of the country at large.
