改革开放40年来，广东加工贸易经历了起步、迅速发展、巩固提高、转型升级四个阶段，现正迈入创新发展阶段。本文从广东发展加工贸易的自身优势、发展情况及其所带来的经济效应三个角度入手，对1978～2017年40年间广东加工贸易的变动情况进行了回顾。我们发现，虽然广东加工贸易的增值率在不断上升，但其地位正逐步被一般贸易所取代，并且其进出口市场正逐步从港澳地区转向欧美等地，另外，加工贸易对广东进出口的增长、国际收支平衡以及劳动力就业的影响逐渐减弱。最后，我们对未来广东加工贸易的创新发展进行了展望。
Over the past 40 years of reform and opening up，Guangdong processing trade has experienced four stages：starting，rapid development，consolidation and upgrading，and is now entering the stage of innovation development.This report reviews the changes of processing trade in Guangdong from 1978 to 2017 from its own advantages，development and economic effects.We found that although Guangdong processing trade value-added rate is rising，but its status is gradually replaced by general trade，and its import and export market is gradually convert from Hongkong，Macao to Europe and the United States.In addition，the impact of processing trade on Guangdong import and export growth，balance of payments and labor employment are going weaken than before.Finally，we make a prospect about the innovation and development of Guangdong processing trade.
