本文通过分析四平市和谐、生态、知识、全域、信息和文化6个方面竞争力的客观指标构建的城市综合经济、可持续竞争力，以及宜居、宜商城市竞争力指数。研究发现：四平市的综合经济竞争力显著下降，可持续竞争力有所提升，但在全国的综合排名略有下降，宜居、宜商城市竞争力指数依然较低，在全国排位不高，但略有上升。结果显示，四平市城市发展仍存在综合经济实力不高，科技投入不足，信息城市竞争力相对较弱，居住环境、生态环境和市政设施建设相对滞后，宜居城市竞争力相对不高等诸多问题。据此本文提出绿色发展、区域协同发展、加快改革等举措，从而加快提升四平城市竞争力。
By analyzing the comprehensive economic competitiveness，sustainable development competitiveness and livable，business city competitiveness which are made up by objective indicators，such as，ecology，knowledge，global，information and culture of Siping City，the paper found that the comprehensive economic competitiveness of Siping City decreased significantly，and sustainable development competitiveness of Siping City has been improved，however，the overall ranking declined slightly. Livable，business city competitiveness index is still a low position in national ranking，but has increased slightly. The development of Siping City still faces many problems，for example，overall economic strength is low，the science and technology investment is not enough，information city competitiveness is relatively weak，living environment，ecological environment and municipal facilities are relatively lagging，and livable city competitiveness is relatively low，and so on. Therefore，this paper puts forward some suggestions such as green development，regional coordinated development and speeding up reform so as to speed up the promotion of urban competitiveness.
