In recent years， China's marine economy has shown a tendency of booming development， China's marine industry has been optimized and upgraded， and the contribution of marine economy to regional economy has been increasing. However， there is a big gap between the development of marine economy and the rest of the world. Based on the analysis of the scale， structure and problems of coastal marine economic development， this paper constructs the evaluation index system of marine economy in coastal areas. By Designing marine economic aggregate index， marine economic structure index and marine economic driving force index， we measure the individual index of marine economic development and overall index of marine economic development. Selecting typical coastal areas in northern， Eastern and Southern Sea economic circles，Evaluating the marine economic development level from Marine economic aggregate， marine economic structure and marine economic impetus， objective and scientific analyze the development of China marine economy， we clear the advantages and disadvantages of marine economy development in the coastal areas， in order to provide reference for the development of marine economy in coastal areas.
