树立科学正确的民族教育观，是推动民族教育事业不断发展的关键。为此，必须准确把握科学正确的民族教育观的内涵、指导思想和应遵循的原则。要培育科学正确的民族教育观，一是把各民族的传统教育观念作为基本的价值资源，赋予时代要求进而作出新的内涵诠释；二是批判地吸收借鉴国外文明成果，满足我国各民族共同的、美好的教育价值诉求；三是立足于我国民族地区教育实践，使之符合各民族群众的教育价值期待；四是从社会、学校、家庭、个体四个层面分层整体推进；五是通过宪法的实施、法制的推行、政策的制定、人权的保障来实现“科学正确的民族教育观”。
Establishing an empirical and valid view of ethnic education is a key to driving the continuous development of ethnic education.Therefore，it is a prerequisite for accurately grasping the substance，guiding ideology，and principles to be followed in this regard.The following are to be done in order to cultivate an empirical and valid view of ethnic education.Firstly，traditional education concepts for different ethnic groups should be served as a foundation，and the substance reinterpreted according to immediate circumstances.Secondly，achievements from abroad should be critically absorbed to meet the needs of different ethnic groups in China.Thirdly，educational needs of all ethnic groups should be satisfied based on the practice of education in ethnic areas of China.Fourthly，the view of ethnic education should be jointly driven from four levels： society，school，family，and individuals.Fifthly，the realisation of the “empirical and valid view of ethnic education” should be achieved in accordance with the Constitution，rules and laws，policy formulation，and protection of human rights.
