Founding a think tank dedicated to ethnic education research in Inner Mongolia is an important component of the “Belt and Road Initiative” and think tank development for the “China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor”.It can promote social and economic development，thus providing strong intellectual support for ethnic education in Inner Mongolia.In this light，some measures are suggested.A cooperative and creative system should be developed for founding a think tank for research into ethnic education in Inner Mongolia.The goals of the think tank and its contents for construction should be clearly outlined，and the think tank should also use big data to provide technical support.
