中泰铁路合作是在全面战略合作伙伴关系框架下的务实合作。中泰铁路合作不仅有利于消除泰国的地区差异、贫富差距，也有利于泰国成为中南半岛乃至整个东盟地区互联互通的中心，提高泰国在区域合作中的地位。但受泰国国内因素、局外势力的干预以及中泰对铁路认知的落差等因素影响，中泰铁路面临着资金、收益、安全等诸多挑战。随着“一带一路”的稳步推进，泰国国内局势进一步稳定，中泰铁路合作的前景还是光明的。
Railway cooperation China-Thailand is a kind of pragmatic cooperation under the framework of comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership. This cooperation is not only conducive to narrowing the gap of regional development and the gap of the rich and the poor，but also is useful for Thailand to be center of interconnection Indo-China and ASEAN，so that it can improve Thailand’s position in the regional cooperation. But because of domestic factors，outside forces intervening，recognition lag factor of China and Thailand about railway，building China-Thailand railway faces challenges of funding，benefits and security. With the implementation the Belt and Road Initiative，and stability of Thailand domestic politics，the prospects of railway China-Thailand would be more bright.
