Characteristic towns construction is an important measure to accelerate the city development in the new period. This report puts forward the urgency of accelerating the construction of characteristic towns with actual investigation，analyzes the outstanding problems and proposes the concrete countermeasures to speed up the construction of characteristic towns in Guangzhou.
