In hope of avoiding clashes with Russia and to contain the anti-Israel activities of Iran,Syria and Hezbollah,Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu visited Russia four times from September 21,2015 to March 9,2017. Israel and Russia cooperated well on the Syrian Issue. The focus of Russia’s policy on Syria is to save and support Bashar Assad regime and to fight IS. Israel’s policy on Syria revolves around avoiding conflicts with Russia,preventing Hezbollah from acquiring advanced weapons,and containing Iran and Syria. In recent years,Israel has bombed Hezbollah’s arms delivery activities in Syria several times. Russia warned Israel against escalating tension with Syria. In this process,Russia tried to balance its relations with both Israel and Syria. But due to Israel’s air attacks in Syria,divergences emerged between Israel and Russia.
