Before the western colonists discovered Marshall Islands，geographical factors had shaped the trajectory of its civilization proceeding. In response to the harsh natural environment，people in Marshall Islands developed the chieftaincy institution and the clan system to draw the natural resources and organize production. Along the natural evolution of Marshall Islands’ civilization over thousands of years，Marshall Islands had formed a unique tradition and culture，in which geographical factors played a key role. The invasion of western civilization with the core of rationality and secularization broke the evolution of Marshall Islands’ civilization，triggered the collision between tradition and modernity，and formed a unique and integrated political order.
