中日韩自由贸易区建设的积极因素主要表现在：中、日、韩三国利用彼此间较强的互补性已建立较为密切的产业分工体系，三国间贸易规模低下为中日韩FTA提供发展空间，区域内投资自由化的需求为中日韩FTA提供动力。其消极因素主要表现在：三国贸易依存度的差异及不均衡状态对中日韩自贸区的建设产生一定的负面影响，中日、中韩双边贸易中各国贸易收支存在严重不平衡问题，中日韩对区域合作诉求的差异以及对主导权的竞争，弱化中日韩合力建立FTA的力度。
