澳门的音乐产业起步较晚，在香港、台湾产业成熟数年之后，直至2003年，澳门才拥有自己的音乐颁奖典礼。当前，澳门音乐产业的发展形势良好，现阶段产业发展有三层重点，第一是澳门缺乏自己的明星级音乐人，我们的第一任务是需要打造音乐人，第二是要配合社团发展方向，重点孵化音乐演艺产业，第三是充分利用文化产业基金，借助政府扶持，品质优先，打好周期战，塑造具有澳门特色的音乐产业结构。
The music industry in Macao had a late start. Not until 2003-a few years after Hong Kong and Taiwan music industries had reached their maturity-did Macao have its own music award. Currently，the music industry in Macao is on a good track，but it still needs to work on three key areas：First，making stars，since Macao lacks its own music stars；second，putting an emphasis on the music and the entertainment industries in accordance with the development trends of specific societies；and third，building a music industry structure of good quality and Macao characters by making full use of cultural industry fund，government support and development cycles.
