Facing the stagnation of the gaming sector，the economy of tourism leisure has gradually gained its prominence in Macau under the concept of constructing the World Tourism and Leisure Centre. In recent years the inventory of relevant products has been dramatically expanded，with ample room for further growth，the quality of which has also been greatly enhanced，enabling Macau to offer world-class leisure experiences. Looking ahead more attention should be paid to enlarging the proportion of leisure-oriented visitors by encouraging or attracting more visitors to get access to tourism leisure products so as to motivate them to enjoy their shopping in Macau. Other suggestions include defending the rights of local residents，leveraging cultural resources，promoting marine tourism，strengthening market research，pushing forward the building of community tourism，as well as revising local laws and regulations accordingly.
