The Brexit referendum by the UK at an important crossroad brought about profound impacts beyond UK and Europe. Two sharply differentiated views emerged in America on this issue. One represented by President Obama who strongly appealed to the UK to remain in the EU，the other voiced by the Heritage Foundation to push the Brexit with great efforts. Though both factions made active intervention in the event，they got results of dramatic difference. The Heritage Foundation successfully played a role in adding fuel to the flames while Obama’s efforts backfired to the U.S. election，the spreading effects of which may change Anglo-American special relationship to certain extent.
