从2014年起安徽省深入推进选举改革创新，全面实施观察员制度，有步骤地推进定岗选举、“一票”选举制度，“三项制度”有力提升了基层民主选举的规范化、程序化建设水平，推动了基层治理现代化，但一些地方也面临着选举竞争性有所下降、选民参与有限等问题。
Since 2014，Anhui Province has further promoted electoral reform and innovation，fully implemented Observer Mechanism，gradually advocated Office Election and Single Ballot mechanisms，all of which have effectively pushed forward the standardization and formalization of grassroots democratic elections，as well as the modernization of grassroots governance. However，some localities also face problems such as declining electoral competitiveness and limited voter participation.
