建立一套科学的金融中心竞争力评价指标体系，既要考虑金融中心的内在条件，如金融集聚、金融效率、金融辐射等因素，又要考虑金融中心的外部环境的影响，如跨国公司联系度、经济发展水平、人口状况等因素。通过不同层次和不同视角的比较分析，掌握香港、东京、新加坡等亚洲主要金融中心竞争力的总体状况，为确定广州区域金融中心发展方向，解决广州区域金融中心建设过程中存在的问题提供借鉴。
To establish a set of scientific financial center competitiveness evaluation index system，we have to take into account not only the internal conditions of the financial center，such as financial agglomeration，financial efficiency，financial radiation and other factors，but also the effects of the external environment of the financial center，such as the degree of multinational company，the level of economic development and population situation. We will grasp the overall situation in Hong Kong，Tokyo，Singapore and other major Asian competitiveness as a financial center through the comparative analysis of different levels and different perspectives，in order to accurately locate the development direction of Guangzhou regional financial center and to solve the problems in the construction of Guangzhou regional financial center.
