Since a good surrounding environment is crucial to China’s stability and development，China has given top priority to its peripheral diplomacy. From 2014 to 2015，China actively conducted peripheral security diplomacy and achieved overall stability in its surrounding security situation. China’s peripheral security diplomacy during this period was mainly reflected in deepening its relationship with other major countries and discussing peripheral security issues；visiting the surrounding countries，emphasizing moral responsibilities and enhancing security mutual trust；proposing new ideas of win-win cooperation and coordinating development and security；flexibly utilizing various platforms and mechanisms to promote surrounding security and stability；and advocating New Asian Security Concept，launching an innovative concept of a community of common destiny for all mankind，actively solving peripheral security problems，and so on. It is the goal of China’s peripheral diplomacy to make its surrounding circumstances more secure.
