香港与上海是中国的两颗明珠，在中国现代化发展进程中具有不可替代的作用，但鉴于经济发展的不同阶段与制度环境，两地经济发展各具特点。本报告主要以大量数据图表的方式来分析比较沪港两地经济发展的规模、速度与经济关系等情况，从而使人们能够更清楚、更直观地看到目前沪港两地经济发展所具有的互补性及存在的差距。
Hong Kong and Shanghai are both two pearls in China，and they play a key role in the process of Chinese modernization development. However，the economic development of the two cities has its own characteristics in view of the different stages and institutional environment in the economic development. The paper mainly analyze and compare the scale，the speed and the cooperation between Hong Kong and Shanghai’s economic development，in order that people can understand the complementarities and the gap of economic development between Hong Kong and Shanghai presently more clearly and directly.
