Security issue is a long term challenge in Africa. Persecuted by historical scars and induced by political and economic crisis，the continent suffers from political disturbances，military conflicts，terrorist attacks，and organized crimes. Nonetheless，Africa achieves remarkable progress in security affairs in recent years，and brings out indigenous characteristics. As China and Africa deepen cooperation in all sectors，China’s interests increase dramatically. Persistent security events constitute challenge to China’s diplomacy，and threaten China’s investment and personnel safety there. For the purpose to promote a healthy relationship between China and Africa，and to protect its interest，China should enhance cooperation in peace and security area and provide more assistance in counter terrorism cause. In the same time，China should strengthen its capacity to ensure security，and implementation of private security contractor （PSC） in Africa will be a reasonable choice.
