本文主要通过计算中国、韩国两国1990～2013年的最新钢铁出口数据得出了两国钢铁产业国际竞争力的变化情况，并且分析了在过去几十年内各国环境管制力度逐渐加大的背景下，环境管制力度对中韩两国钢铁产业国际竞争力的影响。从数据分析所得到的结果来看，中国钢铁产业国际竞争力增长迅速，韩国钢铁产业国际竞争力增长较快。最后得出结论，环境管制力度与国际产业竞争力长期存在正相关关系。
This chapter analyzes the changing international competitiveness of the Chinese，South Korean iron and steel industry based the export data from 1990 to 2013. As the magnitude of environmental regulations in the above countries have been dramatically increasing for the past several decades，we want to find out if the increased magnitude has an impact on the iron and steel industrial competitiveness. Based on the analysis，we could conclude that the magnitude of the environmental regulation is positively related to international competitiveness.
