从1640年攻占高尔到18世纪末期逐步被英国人取而代之，荷兰人在斯里兰卡殖民活动的主旋律就是通过东印度公司开展商业和贸易活动。这段时间可以说是斯里兰卡整个殖民时期中最为平和的历史时期。本文从荷兰在斯里兰卡的贩运及贸易活动等角度讨论荷兰殖民时期斯里兰卡的社会经济变迁。
Abstract
The Dutch colonization in Sri Lanka resulted in significant social and economic changes in the island country. Starting from the 1640s to the end of the 18th century，there had been extensive Dutch impact on the different aspects of Sri Lanka. This paper discusses the slave trading，the development of VOC as well as the relevant social changes in Sri Lanka.
