就中国社会意识领域的状况而言，2013年成为极端不平静的一年。两个30年关系之争、改革方向之争、中国梦内涵之争和宪政概念之争，构成2013年中国社会意识领域的四大热点问题。这些热点问题的争论，蕴含着对“什么是社会主义，怎样建设社会主义”的问题不同的理解和回答。对于极端错误的社会思潮侵蚀共同思想基础的政治危害性，必须保持高度清醒的认识，必须坚持旗帜鲜明的立场。在对错误思潮进行批评的同时，不能回避客观存在的问题，需要从中抽取坚持和发展中国特色社会主义所必须面对的真问题，按照历史观和价值观相统一的原则，努力加以克服和解决。由此，价值尺度的遵循和继承，在批判性反思现实的基础上做出规范性的匡正，构成坚持和发展中国特色社会主义的关键。
On the status of Chinese social consciousness，the 2013 does not become an extremely quiet year. The relationship between two 30-year struggles，the dispute of the connotation of China Dream and the constitutional concept，constitute four hot issues in the field of Chinese social consciousness in 2013. Debating these hot issues implies different understanding and answers on “what is socialism and how to build socialism”. We must maintain a high degree of consciousness and a clear-cut position on the political dangers from the wrong social thought’s erosion of the common ideological foundation. For this reason，when we are in criticism of erroneous ideas，we cannot evade objective problems，but we should extract the real problems that must be faced in the course of upholding and developing the socialism with Chinese characteristics. In accordance with the principle of the unity of history and values，these real problems should be overcome and resolved with our hard work. Thus，obeying and inheriting the value，and the normative remedy on the basis of critical reflection，is the point of upholding and developing the socialism with Chinese characteristics.
