与早期的人道主义干预相比，近年来西方新干预主义出现了一些新动向。其中最重要的变化是西方的军事干预日益寻求正当性和合法性，这使其在某种程度上得到了一些非洲国家的认可。然而，其本质仍与强权政治一脉相承，其主要目的是捍卫西方的价值观和维护西方主导的国际秩序。然而西方对非洲的军事干预对非洲的政局和政治生态造成恶劣的影响，在某种程度上亦影响中非关系的发展。对此，中国应该通过参与国际规范的制定，支持非洲国家自主维和，加强与西方国家在非洲和平与安全问题上的对话和沟通，加大对非洲和平与安全事务的参与等方式应对西方新干预主义。
Comparing with Humanitarian Intervention，there are some new trends for Western Neo-interventionism. One of the most important trends is that Western Neo-interventionism seeks validity and legitimacy of the military interventions. However，it’s the same as power politics in essence，which aims at defending the Western values and the International Order dominated by the Western countries. Western military intervention in African countries has bad influence on African political situations and ecology，which affects the development of Sino-Africa relationship，either. In response to Western Interventionism，China should participate in the formulation of new international paradigm，support African countries’ peace operations，and communicate with the Western countries in African peace and security issues.
