Since the upheaval in the Middle East，the Gulf Arab countries have begun to play a leading role in regional affairs. In 2014，the Gulf countries represented by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia，through a series of actions，maintained the stability and development of the region，showing a strong influence. However，in the political，economic，social and security aspects，the Gulf countries are facing many challenges and cannot afford to ignore the potential crises. In the future，the six Gulf countries will continue to exert regional influence，bear financial pressures incurred from oil price plunge，and respond to the threat from terrorism in the form of a loose alliance.
