The author firstly analyzes present development situation of the key industries in Guangzhou. It then positions different industries of Guangzhou at home and abroad，covering service industry，high-end orientation in manufacturing industry，headquarters economy，independent innovation capacity，industrial development environment and other key aspects. At last，it puts forward the direction and ways for speeding up transformation and upgrading of Guangzhou.
