There’re 170，000 charities and nonprofits in Canada，which is No 2 in the world. Every 200 Canadians will enjoy the service provided by an NGO. There’re 2 million Canadians employed in the charitable and nonprofit sector，accounting for 11.1% of the economically active population in Canada. Charitable and nonprofit sector contribute about 8.1% to Canadian GDP. Together with government and business enterprise，NGO becomes an important force in the socio-economic development of Canada. In recent years，NGO has made tremendous contributions for Canadian community，but it is also facing a series of challenges.
