“世界城市”作为中国首都北京的城市新定位，是北京全面完成国际城市建设任务后提出的更高目标，是面向2030年乃至2050年的超长期发展所提出的宏大愿景。本文对于北京定位“世界城市”的具体内涵、功能、任务进行了阐述，并就北京建设世界城市的路径、阶段、节奏进行了设计。
The world city, as the orientation of Beijing, is proposed on vision of era of 2030 and 2050. However, in the past city planning, about what is the connotation, function, tasks of a world city, and steps to build a world city have not yet involved. The World City Strategic Planning explore the substantiality of the future orientation, conception design, key tasks of building a world city, to guide Beijing.
