Macao SAR is a small and open economy. Since the liberalization of gaming industry in 2002，foreign capitals and investments have been largely brought in and the economy not only recovered from the economic recession resulted from late 1990s，but also developed rapidly and achieved amazing economic growth，especially in the gaming and related sectors. Nowadays，Macao is well-known as a gaming city，which can rival the city of Las Vegas. However，as the appreciation of RMB and rapid economic growth in Macao，continuous increase in general price level weakens the purchasing power of local residents. But major sectors like gaming industry still record obvious wage increase. The authors will profoundly analyze the problem of widening the income gap，condition of the labor market and inflation so on.
