澳门经济综述，由七篇文章概述，分别涵盖博彩业、基础设施、金融、旅游、会展业、公共财政、收入物价及通胀等领域。综合他们的分析，澳门经济有两大决定因素。首先，它是个微型经济体，对外部环境既有依赖，也有相对的封闭性；其次，澳门经济以博彩旅游为主要支柱产业。以上两大决定性因素，再进一步派生出五个特征：财富积累的快速性；发展速度的起伏性；产业结构的单一性；收入分配的两极性；增长模式的不可持续性。
There are seven articles to cover the analysis on Macao’s economy，including gambling industry，infrastructure，financial-sector，tourism，convention and exhibition，public finance，and income and inflation. Based upon their analysis，there seems to be two critical elements determining Macao’s economy. One is its mini size of the economy，relying on outside environment while keeping its comparative closeness. The other one is gambling which is its main supporting industry. From these two determining elements，five characteristics are further derived：high speed of wealth accumulation；turbulence in development speed；unitary in economic structure；polarization in income distribution；and unsustainable model for development.
