本文从珠三角的实践出发，探讨了承接研发外包和珠三角技术创新之间的关系。实证分析表明，珠三角承接研发外包与技术创新提升之间存在显著的互动关系，人力资本、对外贸易依存度、服务业增加值、劳动力成本、外商直接投资、服务业固定资产投资额等因素对其均有显著影响。其中，劳动力素质对珠三角技术创新提升具有一定的促进作用；外商直接投资在一定程度上削弱了珠三角地方自主创新的能力；经济开放度、服务业增加值对珠三角承接研发外包具有显著的提升作用。劳动力成本和人力资本却与研发外包水平显著负相关，说明珠三角研发外包优势主要体现在劳动力成本上，但是这种优势并不能维系长久。所以，珠三角为了保持成本竞争优势，就要全面提升劳动者的素质，发展高端服务外包产业，以促进珠三角区域技术创新能力快速、持续提升。
This research explores the relationship between undertaking R&D outsourcing and the technological innovation of the Pearl River Delta on the practice of the Pearl River Delta. Empirical studies show that there is a positive relationship between undertaking R&D outsourcing and the technological innovation of the Pearl River Delta. Human resources，degree of dependence on foreign trade，value added services，labor cost，FDI，fixed asset investments in service significantly affect the interaction of undertaking R&D outsourcing and the technological innovation of the Pearl River Delta. Moreover，studies also show that human resources help improvement of technological innovation of Pearl River Delta while FDI weakens the ability of technological innovation of Pearl River Delta. Degree of dependence on foreign trade and value added services help Pearl River Delta to undertake more R&D outsourcing while labor costs and human resources negatively affect undertaking R&D outsourcing of Pearl River Delta，which means that the advantages of Pearl River Delta mainly lie in the cheap labor costs instead of good quality of labor，this advantage may not last long. So it is necessary for Pearl River Delta to develop more advanced R&D outsourcing to survive in the severe competition.
