尽管朝鲜半岛统一进程面临着不小的障碍，但统一是大势所趋。而最具可能的朝鲜半岛统一的方式是和平统一。中国将全力支持朝鲜半岛自主和平统一，不会坐视朝鲜半岛战火再次蔓延。因此，中国的朝鲜半岛政策以有利于实现朝鲜半岛民族和解与国家统一，有利于东北亚和平与稳定、繁荣与发展为基点，积极致力于促进南北和平统一进程。
Despite the considerable obstructions，reunification of the Korean Peninsula is inevitably the tide of the times，with the most probable means being a peaceful one. China supports the peaceful realization with true earnestness and would never gladly see the Peninsula fall into state of war. Hence China，with its Korean Peninsula policies based on the facilitation of peace of the Korean nationality and reunification of the two countries，fostering peace，stability and development of Northeast Asia，is vigorous in promoting the reunifying process on the Peninsula.
