旅游业以其显著的产业带动力和经济效果，成为近年来日本政府大力发展的一个产业。东日本大地震及其引发的海啸、福岛核泄漏事故，给日本旅游业直接造成重创，也给交通客运、住宿等相关产业以及日本经济社会带来负面影响。日本政府和民间采取了诸多措施，促进旅游业逐渐恢复。另一方面，此次地震也可能成为日本重新审视和发展本国旅游业的契机，促使其拓展旅游资源，提高旅游业的国际化程度，完善旅游相关设施和服务等，进一步推进“观光立国”战略的实施。
With its significant industries driving force and economic effects,tourism has become an industry developed vigorously by Japanese government in recent years.East Japan Earthquake and tsunami,nuclear accident triggered by the earthquake have directly caused serious damage to Japan's tourism industry,and also have a negative impact on passenger transportation,accommodation and other related industries,as well as Japan's economy and society.On one hand, the Japanese government and civil society had taken a number of measures which have promoted the gradual recovery of its tourism industry.On the other hand,the earthquake may also be the opportunity for Japan to re-examine and develop its tourism industry,to promote the expansion of tourism resources,improve the degree of internationalization of tourism industry and its related facilities and services,and further to promote the implementation of National Tourism Development Strategy.
