近年来，在政治层面的大力支持和院校层面的积极参与下，上海合作组织教育领域合作发展迅速，被誉为未来最具发展潜力的领域之一。各成员国围绕上海合作组织大学的创建与发展开展多层次交流与合作，目前上海合作组织大学已经成为上海合作组织成员国各领域合作中标志性项目之一，具有越来越大的国际影响力。2013年，上海合作组织大学建设进展顺利，各成员国间双边教育合作继续深化，未来发展呈现出广阔前景，但是仍然要对合作实践中产生的问题作出清晰判断，未雨绸缪，积极应对。
With forceful political support and collegiate active participation in recent years，the SCO’s education area has developed rapidly，well-known as one of the most potential areas for development. The member states have conducted many exchanges and collaborations at multiple levels about SCO universities，now regarded as one of the most fruitful reppresentative programs in the cooperative field of the SCO member states，which enjoy an increasingly great international prestige. In 2013，the construction of SCO Universities went smoothly，with education collaboration between member states deepening continuously，and bright prospects for future development emerging，and yet it is necessary to clearly define problems in collaborative practice，get ready in advance for rainy days and make positive repsonses.
