2012年3月16～18日，2012年全球左翼论坛在纽约佩斯大学举行。论坛围绕“占领制度：对抗全球资本主义”这一主题，设立了400多个专题讨论会场，来自全球的4500多名左翼知识分子、政治活动家、运动组织者、工团主义者以及左翼团体机构代表等参加了此次盛会。会议结合经济危机持续蔓延并不断加深、“占领华尔街”等政治社会运动风起云涌等现实热点问题，围绕占领运动、资本主义危机与替代以及左翼复兴等问题进行了深入探讨。
Left Forum 2012 was held at Pace University，New York city on March 16-18th. The theme of the forum is “Occupy the System：Confronting Global Capitalism”. It set up more than 400 panels，and more than 4500 attendees including Left progressive intellectuals，political activists，movement organizers，trade unionists，and the interested public came together. They engaged a wide range of critical perspectives on the global capitalism. Around the “Occupying movement”，the crisis of capitalism，the alternatives to current capitalism and the revival of the Left，the attendees discussed deeply and shared ideas for understanding and transforming the world.
